Ubuntu at International Women’s Day – The Ripple Effect in Action

On 28th March 2026, Ubuntu had the honour of participating in the Liverpool Commonwealth Association’s International Women’s Day celebrations, centred around the powerful theme: “The Ripple Effect.”

It was an inspiring space, bringing together CEOs, Directors, and leaders from across different sectors each committed to creating meaningful change within their communities. Being part of this collective was not just an opportunity to represent Ubuntu, but to stand alongside others who are equally passionate about impact, equity, and empowerment.

For us, the theme of the Ripple Effect deeply resonated.

At Ubuntu, we see every day how supporting one mother especially those affected by birth trauma, bereavement, displacement, or isolation creates waves far beyond the individual. It strengthens families, nurtures healthier communities, and shapes brighter futures for children. That single act of care, compassion, and advocacy doesn’t stop at one person it ripples outward.

Attending this event allowed us to:
🌍 Strengthen Ubuntu’s voice within wider leadership spaces
🤝 Build meaningful connections with potential partners and collaborators
💡 Share and learn from innovative approaches across sectors
📣 Raise awareness of the realities faced by the mothers we support

Most importantly, it reaffirmed that Ubuntu is part of something bigger-a growing movement of organisations working collectively to create lasting, community-driven change.

This is the ripple effect in action. 🌊
